Transfer of Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan to Medical Center Permitted: Danielyan

It has just been announced that the "Penitentiary Medical Center" state institution has permitted the transfer of Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan to the "Izmirlian" medical center, where his surgery will take place. This was reported by Garnik Danielyan, a member of the National Assembly’s "Armenia" faction.

“I must note that until now, the process had been artificially complicated. The defenders had repeatedly approached the Penitentiary Medical Center but were unable to obtain the necessary permission for the Archbishop's surgery at his preferred hospital. Just days ago, I personally informed the relevant authorities that Archbishop Mikayel needed urgent surgery, urging them to ensure his right to health as soon as possible,” he wrote.

“Thanks to the defenders and the broad public response, we were able to change this unjust approach. I thank all concerned citizens. The wall of indifference must be broken. It is a fact that our unity yields results. Wishing good health, a speedy recovery, and freedom to our beloved Archbishop and all political prisoners,” he added.
