Snowfall, Black Ice in Places, and Fog: Situation on Roads in Armenia

The Rescue Service reports that the roads in Armenia are mostly passable. However, due to ongoing reconstruction work on the Korya Gorge road and the risk of rockfalls, the road has been temporarily closed to traffic since August 19.

In the Vardenis region, there is black ice in places on the roads. Snow is falling in the Meghri region. Fog has settled in the Artashat region and in an area known as 'Meghru Sar.' Drivers are urged to travel exclusively with winter tires.

Regarding the Lars Route, according to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
