Snowfall in the Area Known as Meghru Sar

The rescue service reports that the roads within the territory of Armenia are mostly passable. However, due to the renovation work on the Koryak Gorge road, and considering the risk of rockfalls, the road has been temporarily closed to traffic since August 19.

Snow is currently falling in the area known as Meghru Sar. Furthermore, fog is observed in the Dilijan bends, on the Berd-Jambarak highway, and in the Meghru Sar area.

Drivers are advised to use winter tires exclusively.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia of the Russian Federation, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
