During the KP Board Meetings, Candidates for the Electoral List Will Be 'Interrogated': 'Zhoghovurd'

The leader of the KP party, Nikol Pashinyan, has decided to invite candidates for the KP's electoral list for the 2026 parliamentary elections to the upcoming KP board meetings and ‘interrogate’ them. This is reported by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd.'

“The KP board meeting held the day before yesterday was almost entirely dedicated to the candidates proposed for the 2026 electoral list. The 20 board members ‘interrogated’ the candidates: ‘It doesn’t matter if you are currently a member of the National Assembly or not. You must answer questions from Nikol Pashinyan and the board members, present your autobiography, explain why you have been nominated, what your goals are, and most importantly, what your rating is,” the source stated.

Several female MPs from the KP faction in the National Assembly also spoke from the podium the day before yesterday, discussing their initiatives if elected. They included KP members Sona Ghazaryan, Taguhi Ghazaryan, Hripsime Hunanyan, Hripsime Grigoryan, Mariam Poghospyan, Tatevik Gasparyan, Esther Ayvazyan, and Lilit Stepanyan.

The current 383-member KP list is expected to be reduced to around 200 for submission to the CEC. The leaders and those who will be in the top ten or twenty will be determined during the primaries scheduled for March. KP MPs are required to gather votes from citizens by canvassing door-to-door.”
