Turkey's Armed Forces Ready to Deploy Troops to Gaza Strip: International Media

Turkey's armed forces are ready to participate in the International Stabilization Forces (ISF) to be established in Gaza and are prepared to deploy troops to the region if necessary. This was announced by security sources quoted by Turkish media, which noted that Ankara has already prepared the relevant units and is awaiting orders.

According to the sources, the United States supports the Turkish presence, while Israel is opposed to it. Turkey, as a guarantor of the ceasefire, insists that it must be involved in the process and participate in the stabilization efforts in Gaza.

Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated yesterday that if the U.S.-backed process for a ceasefire in Gaza does not move forward, it would be a “massive failure” for the entire world. He emphasized that the governance of Gaza should be transferred to reliable Palestinian civil structures and to a police force established under their oversight.

At the same time, Turkey continues to express hope that Israel, despite its objections, will eventually allow the involvement of Turkish forces in the ISF.
