The Olympic silver medalist Mikhran Harutyunyan is making his comeback to mixed martial arts after a lengthy hiatus. The wrestler announced this on his social media pages.

The former member of the Armenian national Greco-Roman wrestling team will compete in his 8th MMA fight on January 31, 2026. “The countdown has begun. I will return to the octagon with UpNextFighting on January 31. Another fight, a new phase,” wrote Mikhran Harutyunyan.

The MMA fighter represents the American company UpNextFighting (UNF). It's noteworthy that Harutyunyan has been absent from the octagon for nearly two years. His last fight took place on August 22, 2023, in Los Angeles, where the Olympic silver medalist won against the 40-year-old David Douglas, known as 'Tarzan', in the first round.
