Iran Accuses IAEA of Political Approach to Nuclear Program

The Iranian official for the nuclear sector has criticized the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for a biased and politicized approach towards Iran's nuclear program, stating that such an approach complicates the situation. This was reported by the Mehr news agency.

“We are facing a difficult situation,” said Behrouz Kamalvandi, a representative of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, to Iranian media.

“Iran is cooperating with the agency, but the IAEA has not condemned the attack on Iran. Even Europe and the United States did not mention the aggression against our facilities in the latest resolution,” the official stated.

He added that “the main issue is that the agency pursues a purely political approach instead of acting professionally and technically.” Kamalvandi clarified that “the defense agreement is not designed for wartime conditions and does not meet the demands of US-Israeli aggression against Iran. Therefore, it needs to be revised.”
