Fog on Artashat-Yerevan Highway: Current Road Conditions

The rescue service informs that the roads in the Republic of Armenia are mainly passable. Due to the road reconstruction work on the Koriyaz Valley route and considering the danger of rockfalls, the road has been temporarily closed for traffic since August 19.

There is fog on the Artashat-Yerevan highway, particularly in the Vardenyats Pass and the area known as ‘Meghru Sar’ in the Ashtarak region. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

Regarding Lars, information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Emergency Management Department and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergency Ministry indicates that the Stepanstsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
