Each of Mihran Poghosyan's Relatives Released on 50 Million Drams Bail

The Anti-Corruption Committee has released each of the relatives of the former head of the State Revenue Committee, Mihran Poghosyan, on bail of 50 million drams. This is reported by the newspaper "Zhoghovurd."

"The brother of the former head of the State Revenue Committee, Mihran Poghosyan, Tigran Harutyunyan, who is also the owner of 'Mikshin', holds the status of a defendant. Public criminal proceedings have been initiated against his relatives in connection with an ongoing criminal case regarding the former Chief Enforcement Officer of the Republic of Armenia.

The latter are accused of facilitating the abuse of official powers and assisting in the embezzlement of large and particularly large amounts of funds.

While the Anti-Corruption Committee has initiated proceedings against the relatives of the former head of the State Revenue Committee, they are also fighting in the judicial system. Armlur.am reported that the nephew of Mihran Poghosyan, who is the owner of 'Miler Mountain Resort' LLC, has filed 8 lawsuits against the State Committee of Cadastre in the Administrative Court of the Republic of Armenia. He demands that the committee be ordered to provide state registration for ownership rights of the land plot with cadastral code 02-040-0303-0010 for 'Miler Mountain Resort' LLC.

It means that the 'Miler' ski resort in the Abaran community is in operation, and the owners wish to privatize the resort, but the Cadastre Committee is not conducting the registration.

It is worth noting that the real beneficiary of 'Miler Mountain Resort' is Tigran Harutyunyan, the owner of 'Mikshin' LLC, who is the son of Mikhail Harutyunyan, the uncle of the fugitive former head of the State Revenue Committee, Mihran Poghosyan, and the brother of Vahan Harutyunyan, a former member of the National Assembly from the Republican Party of Armenia. Since 2021, the company has received government support several times.

This situation is significant in that while Mihran Poghosyan is waging a struggle against the Armenian authorities, his nephew is seeking to become a landowner under privileged conditions, while some are already under the target of the Anti-Corruption Committee," the newspaper reports.
