US New National Security Strategy Expected to Awaken Europe

Russia hopes that the new US national security strategy will awaken Europe. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“We can only hope that the US new strategy will have the same sobering effect on the European 'party of war' as the recent statements by Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the absurdity of European 'motivations' to prepare for a certain 'war' with Russia,” Zakharova wrote in a commentary published on the ministry's website.
