This is a Gesture from Georgia for the Peace Process: Papoyan
“This is a gesture from the Georgian side for the peace process,” said Gevorg Papoyan, the Minister of Economy, in an interview with Azatutyun.
He confirmed that there will be no tariffs charged for the one-time transit of Azerbaijani oil products through Armenia. “Since the Georgian side has announced this, I confirm that they have communicated this to me. The Minister of Economy of Georgia personally conveyed this to me. It is assumed to be a gesture in the peace process from the Georgian side. For the first shipment, the Georgian side will not charge any fees. Naturally, there will be transit fees for subsequent shipments that the organizations need to pay. So, they have taken that step themselves for this symbolic first batch, if it happens,” the minister said.
