Snow in Some Regions of Armenia

Snow is falling in the Shirak region, Vardenyats Pass, and the area known as Saravan-'Zanger'. There is fog in the Talin, Ashtarak, and Aparan regions. Fog is also present in Yerevan at this moment.

The emergency services are urging drivers to travel exclusively on winter tires. The emergency services also report that the highways in the territory of the Republic are mostly passable.

It is worth noting that the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center state enterprise announces that due to the active cyclone penetrating from the southwest, precipitation is expected across the entire country during the day on December 7 and night on December 8. In Shirak, Lori, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, Syunik mountainous regions, and the pre-mountainous regions of Syunik, the precipitation will be in the form of snow and rain mixed with snow, with sporadic intensity. In the Ararat Plain, in the pre-mountainous areas of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor, as well as in the valley regions of Tavush and Syunik, including Yerevan, rain is expected.
