Two Arrested in Gyumri for Participation in Mass Disorders, Including Deputy Mayor
It has just been revealed that Deputy Mayor of Gyumri, Avetis Arakelyan, and the head of the communal department, Artyom Chadyan, have been arrested from their workplace. According to Azatutyun, Arakelyan, who fulfills the duties of the Gyumri mayor, and Chadyan were arrested on charges of participating in mass disorders on October 20.
Auroranews contacted the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and spokesperson Narek Sargsyan confirmed that there are arrested individuals within the framework of the investigation.
Auroranews also reached out to the Investigative Committee. Spokesperson Kima Avdalyan informed that during the preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated regarding the mass disorders in Gyumri, public criminal prosecution has been launched against four individuals, two of whom have been arrested.
