Samvel Shahramanyan Summoned by Investigative Committee, Lawyer Reports

Minutes after yesterday's court session and a press briefing with journalists, the President of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, has been summoned to the Investigative Committee by phone for questioning regarding the case of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan. This was announced on Facebook by lawyer Roman Yeritsyan.

It should be noted that a court session was held yesterday concerning the case of defamation against Samvel Shahramanyan regarding a history textbook. Shahramanyan's lawyer, Roman Yeritsyan, reported that a lawsuit has been filed against the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia and the author of the 9th-grade history textbook, Nzhdeh Hovsepyan, on behalf of the President of Artsakh, along with a request for injunctive relief. The information attributed to S. Shahramanyan in the textbook, particularly concerning the signing of the decree on the dissolution of Nagorno-Karabakh, is described by the lawyer as defamatory and false.
