Trump on the Second Phase of the Gaza Peace Process

U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to announce before Christmas that the Gaza peace process has entered its second phase. Axios reports this news.

The second phase of the agreement involves the withdrawal of most Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip, the deployment of international stabilization forces, and the establishment of a new governance structure. This will be led by a "Peace Council" that, under Trump's direction, will include approximately ten Arab and Western leaders.

At the same time, negotiations are ongoing with Hamas regarding a resignation from power in exchange for the withdrawal of Israeli forces. Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, and Turkey are ready to send troops to the ISF.

According to Axios, Netanyahu plans to meet with Trump by the end of the month to discuss the details.
