Germany Does Not Need External Consultation, According to Foreign Ministry

Germany's Foreign Minister Johan Wadepfuhl has criticized the new National Security Strategy of the United States, which includes references to NATO and Europe, as reported by the Daily Mail.

“The United States is our most important ally in NATO. However, this alliance is focused on security policy issues. We believe that in the future we will be able to discuss these issues completely independently and do not need external consultation,” he emphasized.

The United States has updated its National Security Strategy. The document outlines Washington's top interests, which include a rapid resolution of the conflict in Ukraine and the restoration of strategic stability with Russia: “Peace in Ukraine will stabilize the economies of European countries, prevent unintended escalation or extension of the war, and restore strategic stability with Russia.” Furthermore, Washington believes that resolving the crisis will ensure Ukraine's post-war recovery.
