Catholicos Karekin II Issues a Statement

His Holiness Karekin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians, stated at the Church of the Holy Translators in Marseille that the anti-church policies adopted by the authorities are deeply concerning.

"Our homeland and the Armenian Church are going through difficulties and significant challenges. The hearts of our nation's children continue to bleed; issues regarding the protection of Artsakh Armenian rights, the release of Armenian captives held in Azerbaijan, and the ongoing cultural genocide remain unaddressed," the Catholicos said.

He emphasized that the Church fortifies everyone in their struggle against difficulties and challenges. "The Church is not merely a stone structure; it is the collective of our believing people. The Church is you, dear faithful children, through your pious lives and God-pleasing deeds," his Holiness highlighted.

The Catholicos expressed strong hope that through the unity of the people and faith, this trial will be overcome, and these malicious encroachments will be neutralized.
