Let the Citizens of Armenia See What the EU 'Vampires' Have Done: Zakharova
The statements from the EU leadership illustrate Brussels' desire to harm the relations between Russia and Armenia. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, commenting on the recent statements by the head of European diplomacy and the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.
“EU representatives Kaya Kallas and Marta Kos literally revealed themselves. Their statements once again prove that their only goal in interacting with Yerevan is to damage the relations between Armenia and Russia. In other words, they have stopped hiding it. Perhaps they would have preferred to conceal it, but their intellectual capabilities hinder them,” said Zakharova.
According to Zakharova, the European Union is trying in every possible way to disrupt the traditional mutually beneficial and respectful partnership between Armenia and Russia in key sectors of the Armenian economy, including energy.
“What issue does the Armenian consumer, the citizens of Armenia, have with Russian-Armenian energy cooperation? None. Let the citizens of Armenia see what these vampires have done to their citizens. Ordinary people in EU countries pay several times more. They want to do the same with other countries,” noted the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
