We are conducting a study around a very strategically important reservoir, says the head of the Water Committee

In October, a meeting of the Public Investment Committee took place, during which a program for the construction of 5 reservoirs was approved. This program will be implemented in collaboration with the EBRD, with these 5 reservoirs located in 5 different regions.

This was announced today in a meeting of the National Assembly by the head of the Water Committee, Aramazd Ghahlamkaryan, while responding to a question from Eduard Aghajanyan, a member of the ‘Civil Contract’ faction, regarding the status of reservoir construction programs in Armenia, which are among the Government's priorities.

“We also have a program for an additional 15 reservoirs, which are still in the project design and budgeting phase. We will move forward with the others in clusters of 5, and we are currently also conducting a study around a very strategically important reservoir, which is the Yeghvard Reservoir,” Ghahlamkaryan stated.
