US Armed Forces to Soon Begin Strikes: Trump Threatens Maduro

US President Donald Trump has announced that American armed forces will soon strike ground targets in Latin America as part of the fight against illegal drug trafficking. “Those involved in drug trafficking killed more than 200,000 citizens last year. Our actions have reduced those numbers,” Trump elaborated during a government meeting.

The White House chief also had a phone conversation with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, demanding that he step down from office. The American side has accused Maduro of having ties to drug cartels.

Meanwhile, Colombian President Gustavo Petro has stated that any attack on Latin America would be considered a step towards war, urging Trump to visit Colombia and learn about the country’s struggle against illegal drug trafficking.
