Umerov to Hold Talks in Brussels, Says Zelensky
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andrey Khnatov, will meet today in Brussels with the European leaders' national security advisors. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to him, the Ukrainian representatives will inform their European counterparts about information that emerged after discussions with the American side in Moscow, and they will also discuss the European component necessary for the security architecture.
“After Brussels, Rustem Umerov and Andrey Khnatov will prepare for a meeting with representatives of President Trump in the United States. As always, Ukraine will work constructively for real peace,” Zelensky noted.
It is important to remember that U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the negotiations that took place between the American delegation and Putin in Moscow on December 1. The White House leader emphasized that Washington continues its efforts and is committed to ending the war unleashed by Russia.
