Nearly 100 Immigration Judges Removed from Their Positions in the U.S.
The U.S. authorities have removed nearly 100 immigration judges from their posts since the beginning of 2025, CBS reports.
"Since January, 98 judges have been dismissed across the country, including 12 assistant chief immigration judges," the network stated.
It is noted that since the beginning of the Trump administration, roughly the same number of judges have either retired early or resigned.
According to the report, at the beginning of the year, there were approximately 700 immigration judges in the U.S., whereas now their number is below 600.
