Many Questions Need Clarification Regarding TRIPP: NSS Deputy Director

Regarding TRIPP, as you know, there are many questions that need clarification, including which service will implement the security measures and how it will be carried out. This was stated by Esai Mkrtchyan, the Deputy Director of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, during today’s session of the National Assembly, in response to a question from opposition MP Anna Grigoryan from the Armenia faction.

MP Anna Grigoryan inquired about the earlier announcement that a separate unit would be created within the NSS to monitor the TRIPP road, asking if it had been reaffirmed within the negotiations that this specific unit would carry out the full oversight of the road passing through Meghri.

“Yes, we have established a special unit for this purpose as well, but we will address that later,” responded Esai Mkrtchyan.
