Searches Conducted at EU Diplomatic Service
The Belgian police conducted searches at the EU diplomatic service in Brussels and several other locations as part of an investigation into possible misuse of EU funds.
Checks were also carried out at the College of Europe in Bruges, as well as in several private residences. According to reports, these actions are linked to an inquiry into the potential misappropriation of EU financial resources.
Law enforcement officials seized documents and detained three individuals for questioning. They are suspected of potential fraud during procurement, involvement in corruption schemes, and conflict of interest.
