Zarukyan's Exit from the Country Blocked: 'Haykakan Jamanak'

The newspaper 'Haykakan Jamanak' reports: 'We have learned that about a month ago, law enforcement agencies blocked Gagik Zarukyan's exit from the country through the SЕKT (Border Electronic Control Information System). This restriction was imposed due to an old criminal case initiated in 2018-19, and it has taken everyone by surprise, including his lawyers.

It is presumed that this measure was taken to prevent him from traveling to Russia and to delay the electoral process. However, this is not the only manifestation of the authorities' attitude towards Zarukyan. His son is currently under investigation for minor charges, while alternative preventive measures have been applied to all other individuals involved in the case, with the decision for arrest and search against Zarukyan's son still being upheld.

Additionally, about ten days ago, the Tax Service began inspections at the 'Shangri La' casino, with tax inspectors checking every receipt and each bet. Despite this, as well as the decline in revenues faced by other casinos due to online gambling, it has drastically decreased.
