Poland's Prime Minister Accuses President of Sabotage
Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk has accused President Karol Nawrocki of sabotage. Tusk made this statement on his microblog on X.
“The President stubbornly refuses to sign orders granting first lieutenant ranks to junior officers of the special services and awarding medals to heroes. This is not merely an attempt to usurp government powers. This is sabotage directed against national security,” Tusk wrote.
The Prime Minister and the President regularly face such conflicts, as they represent opposing political forces. President Nawrocki asserts that Prime Minister Tusk has deprived him of the right to receive information from the special services and to have a voice in the adoption of particularly important decisions. In response to this step, the President refuses to sign several laws and to make ambassador appointments.
