Turkey's National Security Council Discusses Armenia and Azerbaijan

Under the chairmanship of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, a meeting of Turkey's National Security Council was held, after which a statement was released. The discussions also addressed Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“In light of the recent positive developments in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the possibilities for bilateral and regional cooperation were discussed. Our commitment to ensuring peace, stability, and development in the South Caucasus has been reaffirmed,” the statement read.

The current situation of the Russia-Ukraine war was also evaluated, highlighting the importance of finding diplomatic solutions in light of developments that indicate a risk of escalating tensions. It was noted that Turkey will continue its efforts alongside international partners to establish a lasting and just peace.
