Armenia-EU Aviation Agreement Signed: What Benefits Are We Receiving?

On November 15, in Brussels, Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan, European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi, and Slovenia's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Stanislav Raščan signed the Armenia-EU Comprehensive Aviation Agreement. This information was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister Ararat Mirzoyan delivered a speech in which he stated, "Dear ladies and gentlemen, esteemed colleagues, the signing of the Comprehensive Aviation Agreement today marks yet another significant milestone in our relations with the European Union and its 27 member states. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has made this event a reality, including our partners in the European Commission, the Council, and the presidency of Slovenia, as well as all relevant authorities in Armenia and our diplomatic mission in Brussels.

In the near future, the ratification and entry into force of this Agreement will create new opportunities for the development of the aviation sector in Armenia, facilitating the connection of Armenian citizens with other European countries. Joining the EU's common aviation area and unified market for aviation services will promote the adoption of EU aviation standards, the implementation of aviation regulations, and enhance cooperation in the field of aviation safety. National airlines will benefit from all of this, and certainly, individual travelers as well.

I am confident that the Agreement will play a significant role in promoting trade, tourism, investment, and, in general, economic and social development, as well as fostering communication between people and ensuring greater mobility opportunities. Thank you!"
