Female Administrator of 'Bathhouse' Used Establishment for Prostitution

The preliminary investigation of a criminal case initiated for facilitating prostitution has been completed at the Investigative Committee of Armenia’s Armavir regional investigative department. According to the Investigative Committee, it was revealed during the investigation that a resident of Armavir, while working as an administrator at an establishment called 'Bathhouse,' intentionally used this public institution for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.

Specifically, information was obtained that she, in agreement with women engaged in prostitution, facilitated and provided clients for them in the mentioned public establishment in exchange for material gain in October 2020. For each transaction, these women paid the intermediary-administrator a portion of the received amount.

It was also found that the female employee benefited not only from the activities of local women involved in prostitution but also from the rental fees paid for the rooms. Based on sufficient evidence, the administrator has been charged with facilitating prostitution, and a travel restriction has been imposed as a preventive measure. The preliminary investigation has concluded, and the criminal case has been forwarded to the court with an indictment.
