The End of the Conflict in Ukraine Is Near, Says NATO Secretary General
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated in an interview with El País that theoretically, it is possible for the combat operations in Ukraine to end by the end of the year. He answered positively to a relevant question from the journalist, emphasizing that the situation cannot be predicted accurately.
Rutte noted that establishing peace requires ongoing negotiations. According to him, further discussions are needed after the recent meeting in Geneva, as well as separate consultations involving the EU and NATO. “It is always difficult to predict, but I sincerely hope that peace is close,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that the U.S. administration has reported on the development of a potential initiative for a resolution concerning Ukraine. According to several foreign media outlets, the options being discussed presumably include various territorial and military conditions, although this information has not been officially confirmed and currently remains at the level of press publications.
