Russia Clearly Not Ready for Peace Talks on New Plan, Macron Says
The Russian authorities are not ready to discuss a new version of the peace plan agreed upon by representatives of Ukraine, the United States, and Europe. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron after an online meeting of the 'Coalition of Volunteers' supporting Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio attended the meeting for the first time. 'At this moment, Russia is clearly not ready to engage in negotiations around a ceasefire,' Macron stated. According to the politician, Moscow has not shown any 'readiness to discuss' a new peace plan. Macron has called for 'continued pressure' on Russia to urge it to engage in negotiations.
