Russian President Vladimir Putin must realize that he has no chance of winning the war at the expense of European freedom and peace. This was stated by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz during a speech in the Bundestag.

“In order for real negotiations to be possible, Putin must be clearly shown the futility of his military actions. And that is why I say, we will not weaken our support for Ukraine. We will support the Ukrainian people as much as necessary. And we want to make frozen Russian assets available for that very purpose. Putin must understand that he will not have a chance of winning this war at the expense of the European order of freedom and peace,” he said.
