Zelensky Ready to Meet Trump on November 27 to Finalize Peace Agreement

Zelensky is prepared to meet with Trump on November 27 to finalize the peace agreement. This was announced in an interview with Axios by Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian President's Office.

According to him, the U.S. and Ukraine have already reached an agreement on the majority of the plan, which has been significantly revised compared to the initial 28-point version of the American initiative. However, Zelensky wishes to discuss the issue of territorial concessions with Trump, which remains a key point of contention.

“I hope that President Zelensky's visit will take place as soon as possible, as it will aid Trump in continuing his historic mission to end this war,” said Yermak.

He noted that the current draft of the plan aligns with Ukraine's interests and takes into account its “red lines,” while the main element—security guarantees from the U.S. and European allies—will be legally binding.

Yermak emphasized that Ukraine is not abandoning its future goal of joining NATO, but acknowledges the realities of its current situation: “We are still not in NATO.”

According to Yermak, the initial 28-point plan was unacceptable to Ukraine, but the current version has been reduced to 19 points, which removed contentious issues and made it more acceptable to Kyiv. He also mentioned that holding negotiations on Thanksgiving Day could carry symbolic significance, as Trump will depart Washington on Tuesday evening and remain at Mar-a-Lago until Sunday.
