Reservist Officers Can Return to Service While Retaining Military Pension Rights, Says Papikyan

Since 2019, the program for providing housing to officers has been inactive. The Ministry of Defense is focusing on resolving the issues of those on the waiting list. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, in response to a citizen's question.

“The only solution that the Ministry of Defense can offer is to return to the Armed Forces again, allowing access to another program—preferential mortgage programs for servicemen,” said Papikyan.

The minister also announced that reservist officers can return to service in certain military units, as defined by the decree of the Minister of Defense, while retaining their rights to receive military pensions.
