Meeting with the Catholicos Before the Khachik Village Liturgy: Abraam Surbazan

Before the liturgy in the village of Khachik, I met with the Catholicos, and he said that you are obliged and must be present at all liturgies of the diocese to ensure there is no interference and it proceeds normally. This was announced by the Archbishop of Vayots Dzor, Abraam Mkrtchyan, during a conversation with reporters.

“I am glad that this liturgy took place and that both the Prime Minister and many people were present. I do not see anything extraordinary there,” noted Surbazan.

He does not perceive a division within the church into two wings. The Archbishop stated that he did not tell Father Hovhannes to omit the name of the Catholicos during the liturgy with the participation of Nikol Pashinyan.

“That was one of the rare liturgies where I was simply praying for our country and people,” emphasized the Surbazan.
