How to Find Out if You Are Included in the State Insurance System
The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, has shared a video on her social media page elaborating on how citizens can find out if they are included in the state insurance system.
“As an example, let me mention 67-year-old Ms. Anush. We will verify through state internal electronic systems that Ms. Anush is a citizen of Armenia, that she has lived in Armenia for at least 183 days in the past year, and that she is over 65 years old. Based on these three pieces of information, we will include her in the list of insured individuals,” the minister stated.
According to Avanesyan, after this verification, an SMS will be sent notifying her of her inclusion in this list and that an agreement must be made. “Ms. Anush must log into the armed.am website or application and agree with the click of a button. If she does not have access to the electronic site, she can also perform this action through her family doctor, outpatient therapist, or nurse. If this is not possible, we will carry out this operation through our family doctors and nurses,” the minister clarified. She added that after giving consent, the individual is considered insured.
