Iran Warns of Assassination Threat Against Khamenei

The Iranian Minister of Intelligence, Esmail Khatib, has announced that the country's "enemies" are planning an assassination attempt or attack against the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with the aim of creating internal instability.

Khatib stated that the targeting is directed not only at the country's leader but also at the security and stability of the state governance.

The minister emphasized that Iran's security agencies are monitoring potential threats and taking preventive measures to thwart any attempts.

Khatib did not specify which forces, according to Tehran, are behind these plans but highlighted that Iran is prepared to respond to any hostile actions.
