Consultations on Ukraine-Russia Peace Program Launched in Geneva
The Ukrainian delegation has begun work in Geneva on the peace program proposed by the United States, announced Andrey Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. He shared this information via Telegram.
According to Yermak, he held an initial meeting with the national security advisers of the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany: Jonathan Powell, Emmanuel Bonne, and Günter Saute. The next meeting is scheduled with the American delegation, Yermak added.
“In total, several meetings in various formats are planned for today,” Yermak clarified.
Information about the consultations taking place in Switzerland was previously shared by Rustem Ummerov, Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine. According to him, the negotiations will proceed regarding possible parameters of an agreement. He stated that this pertains to another phase of dialogue that has been ongoing in recent days and is primarily aimed at coordinating a vision for subsequent steps.
Today, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have arrived in Geneva. According to CNN, U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll has also already arrived.
