Prosecutor's Office Launches Investigation Against Ankara Mayor

The Turkish Ministry of Interior has authorized an official investigation into the Ankara Municipality, specifically targeting opposition party leader Mansur Yavaş. The case revolves around financial violations reported during the organization of concerts.

The investigation is being conducted based on charges of "abuse of official authority" and "failure to perform supervisory duties." According to the Ankara Prosecutor's Office, violations discovered in the procurement process for services related to 32 concerts have resulted in a loss of over $3.5 million to the state budget.

As part of the investigation, a court order has led to the arrest of five individuals. They are accused of the illegal appropriation of funds and the falsification of tenders intended for public institutions.
