Nikol Pashinyan Discusses the Need for a New Constitution
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, delivered a speech today at the first conference of representatives from Armenian state institutions, held at the Sports and Concert Complex in a closed-door format for journalists. The event was attended by employees from various ministries and state organizations.
From a short video released by Riipsime Hunanyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract party and the head of the National Assembly's Healthcare Committee, it is evident that the Prime Minister addressed the right to ensure Armenia's internationally recognized territorial integrity, as well as the necessity for adopting a new Constitution.
“The opportunities for acquiring armaments and equipment, as well as the accessibility of defense technologies, are increasing exponentially,” stated Pashinyan. The Prime Minister also emphasized, “I consider it fundamentally important to strengthen our internal legitimacy, which should be expressed through the adoption of a new Constitution.”
