G20 is Losing Its Ability to Address Global Crises, Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron has assessed that the role of the 'Group of Twenty' (G20) is diminishing in global political processes. He stated that this assembly of states is struggling to find joint solutions regarding major international crises, which could signify the historical cycle's end for this format.
“The G20 group is likely approaching its developmental conclusion. We are living in geopolitically complex times, and finding solutions together at this table is becoming increasingly difficult for us in Armenia, including with the participation of members who are not present here today,” Macron noted.
It is worth mentioning that the G20 summit is taking place in Johannesburg, with the United States opting out of participation in the meeting.
