Rubio Calls on Russia and Ukraine
The Washington administration is developing proposals for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, taking into account the positions of Moscow and Kyiv, and believes that both sides must be prepared for concessions. This was announced on November 19 by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to TASS.
He wrote on X that a resolution requires a "serious and realistic exchange of detailed ideas." Rubio noted that lasting peace is only possible if both sides agree to difficult, but necessary concessions. He stated that the U.S. is formulating and will continue to formulate a list of possible proposals to stop the war based on the opinions of both sides.
Earlier, Western media reported that the U.S. is developing a new plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine and is holding consultations with Russia on the matter, citing sources. Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that Moscow has not received any information from the U.S. through official channels regarding specific agreements circulating in the media.
