Closed Session Begins in Parliament with Participation of Grigoryan and Mirzoyan; MPs' Phones Collected
A urgent session on the issues of demarcation and delimitation between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan has commenced in the National Assembly. Present at the session are Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
The meeting is taking place behind closed doors; the proposal originated from the ruling Civil Contract party, while the opposition opposed it. National Assembly President Alen Simonian announced that MPs who do not have the right to participate in the confidential session must leave the hall. All other MPs are required to attend the session without their phones.
It is worth mentioning that the proposal for the urgent session was initiated by the “Armenia” and “I Have Honor” factions.
