Iran's Foreign Ministry Issues Strong Statement: Tehran Calls New Proposal Provocative

The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that the new draft resolution presented to the IAEA's Board of Governors, which demands access to Iran's nuclear facilities and enriched uranium stockpiles, is viewed by Tehran as an "irresponsible and provocative" move. This is outlined in a statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, international media reported that the "EU3"—Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, along with the United States—submitted a document to the Council calling for enhanced access to specific aspects of Iran's nuclear program. The proponents argue that such oversight is necessary to ensure the maintenance of existing agreements.

However, Iran emphasizes that such initiatives affect the negotiation process and do not contribute to building trust between the parties. Araghchi remarked that Tehran will continue to adhere to its commitments but will not accept actions it perceives as pressure against it.
