Aliyev Announces Azerbaijan Has Officially Acquired a New Ally

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan officially became allies today. This was announced by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, according to local media.

“Today we became official allies. The agreement on allied relations is the highest international document that two countries can sign. This is a significant foreign policy step that will determine our relations and, in general, the regional policy for all the coming years,” he stated.
