Zelensky Makes Statement

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an evening video address that the armed forces are gradually pushing Russian troops out of the Kharkiv region.

“I spoke with the Chief Commander Syrski regarding the battles taking place in the Kharkiv region. We are gradually pushing the Russian army back. The occupier will not capture Kharkiv; they will not conquer our entire Ukraine,” he said.

Zelensky reminded that since the beginning of May, the Ukrainian armed forces have managed to repel attempts by Russian soldiers to attack Kharkiv. He referred to Kharkiv as a “heroic city, a city of people and life.”
