Russia Reports Destruction of 65 Ukrainian Drones: Situation in the Country
The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that during the night, the country's air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 65 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) across various regions, as well as in the skies over the Black and Azov Seas.
According to the ministry, the attacks were recorded from 23:00 on November 18 to 07:00 on November 19, Moscow time. During this period, 16 drones were destroyed in the airspace of the Black Sea and in the Voronezh and Krasnodar regions.
In the Belgorod region, 11 drones were eliminated, nine in the Azov Sea area, and one UAV in the Bryansk region.
Drone attacks on Russian territories have intensified since 2022 against the backdrop of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. Although Kyiv officially does not acknowledge its participation in these attacks, Mikhail Podolyak, an advisor to the Ukrainian President's Office, stated in August 2023 that the number of drone strikes against Russia would 'increase.'
