Iran Suspends Visa-Free Travel with India
The Iranian government has announced the suspension of visa-free travel for Indian citizens, with the new regulations set to come into effect on November 22, as reported by India Today.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs cites an increase in crimes against Indian citizens as the reason for this decision. Recently, gangs have been inviting Indians to Iran with fake job offers, subsequently kidnapping them and demanding ransoms from their families.
According to the new Iranian regulations, all airlines are required to verify the visa status of travelers heading to Iran, including transit passengers, to ensure strict control over entry.
