Ukraine's Anti-Corruption Efforts Insufficient, Says Zelensky
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, during a press conference in Paris alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, stated that the measures to cleanse the country of corruption are still insufficient. “The fight against corruption is ongoing, but it is still far from being sufficient,” Zelensky noted, emphasizing that Ukraine must implement the necessary reforms.
This statement comes as European officials continue to highlight the importance of anti-corruption measures. Earlier, the French Foreign Minister pointed out that Ukraine needs to intensify its fight against corruption to fully secure EU support. Italy's Deputy Prime Minister also criticized the situation more harshly, claiming that financial assistance provided to Kyiv often benefits corrupt officials rather than addressing Ukraine's defense needs.
