Turkish Ship Involved in Incident Due to Russian Drone Attack in Ukraine

In the Izmail port town on the Danube River in Ukraine's Odesa region, a fire broke out on a liquid gas tanker as a result of a Russian drone attack. This was reported by Euronews.

According to Turkish authorities, the Orinda tanker, operating under the Turkish flag, was struck. The ship had a crew of 16 on board, all of whom have been evacuated. There are no reported injuries.

Due to the explosion risk from the burning tanker, Romanian authorities have ordered the evacuation of residents from the villages of Plauru and Chatalchioi located on the opposite bank of the Danube.

The Ukrainian side has not yet released details regarding the damages and the overall consequences of the attack.
